The Ongoing Battle Within

Every person has to go through it, or maybe I'm alone on this crazy ship. I can never decide and stay decided whether I want to slim down and look like Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) from Fight Club or slam down on all my favorite foods and get huge like Bane (Tom Hardy)

Now lets look at why I would want to be chiseled and lean like Mr. Pitt. Well first off, what girl wouldn't want you if you have abs like that... Like seriously, but I'm not really driven by a dying thirst for sex. I just want to look good and be able to flaunt myself around. That's the problem flaunting a nice 145 lb version of me would be nice but lets face it 6 pack abs on skinny guys doesn't count.

Now onto my other side lets just call it the "Lets see how big and menacing I can get" look.
Being a huge and closet comic book/ superhero fan I've always fancied a huge and scary looking Villain. (Ex. Doomsday, Bane, The Blob) Okay the last one was a joke but you get the point. These guys physique just demanded respect and I totally can connect without. I'm not a materialistic person but one thing I do want is respect and whats a better way to get it than by being a huge scary looking freak! Lately I've been on a Bane inspired workout routine and pretty much eating anything that comes withing arms reach. Its been about two weeks strong but there's that little voice in my head, you could say that little Tyler Durden in me is freaking out as I slowly lose definition in my midsection. Oh well here is to growth and change!

"People do it everyday. They talk to themselves. They see themselves as they'd like to be. They don't have the courage you have, to just run with it."Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt, Fight Club)

Brrr.... Training in a barn during winter

These past few months have been too cold! I've been slacking in working out because my usual place to train is in a non heated barn and I can't stand the egos of the 75 meat heads doing bench in a packed gym.  Two weeks ago I finally had enough of not working out and decided to layer up and I mean layer up to lift in the barn.

I like to keep a positive mindset and with my imagination I was pretending to be Sylvester Stallone in Rocky 4.... You know the one with Ivan Drago??
Now I wasn't doing situps from a second story loft or dead lifting three people in a wagon, but I was spending most of my time shoving my close to frost bit fingers down my pants to get any feeling back I could. Hey you gotta do what works right?  Note to self bring gloves from now on!
